I want to thank every person who read this or parts of it. I have enjoyed writing all of these posts (although it was tiring and time consuming at times) and hope you’ve enjoyed reading them.

This trip could not have been as good as it was without the help of family and friends who helped us along the way. Especially those who gave us a bed, roof, water and food. Had us in the company of your lives and in your homes so we can properly experience the world. Every single little thing anybody did for us along the way helped to write this story.

I’m absolutely stoked to say that we did it! At the end of 2011, Eddie and myself wanted to backpack around Europe for half a year and we did it! Sure, to some that’s not much of a feat and to others it’s the complete opposite. I speak on behalf of the Battlers when I say what we accomplished will go down in the history of our lives. We will forever be the ‘Backpacking Battlers’ and we have stories and experiences we’ll be able to laugh at and take to our graves and beyond.

There are future plans for nathanperks.com within the next few months. More stories of exciting adventures and travels my mates and I get up to will be documented. The tales of the Backpacking Battlers will be posted on the same site for a long time.
