Eddie Returning To Australia

From two Battlers to one. Eddie spent his last day (hopefully) battling on the 20th November before jumping on a plane at Heathrow Airport to go back home. There’s no denying that after the one hour tube ride out there, we both shed more than a few tears as we said our goodbyes.

What many people may not understand is that we have been all but joint at the hip, 24/7 for the past four and three-quarter months. That’s a long bloody time. Has definitely increased our mateship tenfold.

Mate the things we have achieved, sights and displeasures we have witnessed and the people we have met will all go down as influential things that will make us who we are now and forever. Can’t describe how much I’ve enjoyed this experience with you mate, but I know you know how difficult it is because we’ve both struggled to describe half the stuff we’ve done to people who ask.

I know each of our personalities have rubbed of on each other so I apologise if too much of mine has rubbed off onto you. One thing is for sure. We will ALWAYS be THE Backpacking Battlers.

Not long now until the other half of the Backpacking Battlers will be tapping his ruby slippers and will be no place like home.

The remaining Backpacking Battler will continue to post of his whereabouts.

NB: I don’t own or wear ruby slippers, was more of a metaphor
