Fresh Start

Firstly, I’d like to introduce you to The Perks Of Life. As many may or may not be aware, I used to run a Tumblr powered blog that went by the name of The Sand, The Snow & The Sea. On that blog, I wrote down details of nights out and stupid thoughts I had. To say the least, only a rare chunk of ‘valuable’ material was worth a read, the majority of it being dribble. My aim of The Perks Of Life is to try and illustrate more life adventures I encounter and quirky thoughts I continuously think. Summaries of the same drunken night out will be no longer. I decided upon doing this after writing an entirely different blog to The Sand, The Snow & The Sea – Backpacking Battlers – sketching a general overview of me and my mate’s six month backpacking trip around Europe. As the travel bug continues to infect my body, I am more and more eager to adventure within Australian and further around the world. In turn, this should bring a few decent stories to share.

Accompanying The Perks Of Life, I will be filming and editing amateur footage of experiences I endure and my every day life, this being called I Am Nathan. A separate page, Minds Eye, will present a gallery of photographs I have taken to further assist the visual medium to help understand my unconventional style of, at times, opinionated writing. My intention for all of this is so others who may be interested, can get to know a little bit more about me as well as everything I upload becoming a recollection of memories I will be able to always look back on. Who knows what opportunities may present themselves!

At the moment I have a small team of bloody legends helping me get all of this together. As you are most probably already aware, www.nathanperks.com is currently under construction. Zach, one of my best mates who created the website, and I decided that it will remain this way for the next little while. This is partially due to my good friend Antia, who is a crazily phenomenal artist, drawing up some things for me to make the website look 100%. She has shown me sneak peeks of what she has done so far, and I can tell you that you’ll be more amazed than watching a cow milk its own udder. You can’t rush talent!

This website is now officially active during construction so pop in every now and then for a chinwag and geez to see what’s happening.
