Today was supposed to be a day of experience public transport to Isla De Ometepe, Nicaragua. But the other option was to pay USD15 and get a private transfer to the same destination but detour via San Juan Del Sur. The latter (correct) decision was made.

A remote little place on the southern border of Nicaragua, Playa Hermosa had sun beds, food and direct access to the waveless beach. The sand was dark so crossing to the water burned the feet. But it was amazing to be back in the ocean again. It was also a bonus to get a bit of health in after consistently eating the National dishes of rice and beans.
