This is probably the most chilled places I have ever been to. In regards to the previous post, in particular about the Ukraine girl, she found me on facey and turns out she is a model. Not that anybody who can be bothered to read this probably cares but I thought it was cool.
Albea made us an omelette with chorizo in a baguette for breaky this morning and I reckon it was one of the tastiest things I’ve eaten in a long time.
We got on a train from San Sebastian to some place like half an hour away and the place was deserted. I’ve seen too many movies to know that when a town is deserted that’s where people get abducted and murdered so it was probably the most nervous I’ve been all trip so far. When we got off the train we saw a black cat so started becoming a tad superstitious. We asked a local where the camp site was we are at now. He pointed in no particular direction and spoke no English so we just started walking. We asked another woman who was a tad more helpful.
We had a look at where we had to walk to and it was on the horizon on a massive cliff. Fairy off it, we starting walking. It was at this point that eddie’s strap on his bag broke. Honestly don’t think I have ever laughed so much in my life. Approximately one hundred and seventy days left and he has to deal with that issue. We both just sat along the dirt path and laughed for a good ten minutes. After conquering a thousand stairs up the cliff we got to the campsite and were greeted with beers upon arrival (not that we wanted or needed them after last night).
We met a guy called Richard who is from bondi and he kept giving us beer after beer. Richard is in his 50’s and has been traveling all year as he is on long service leave. He’s a pretty funny bloke.
This place is filled with Aussies and isn’t a bad set up. Worst part about it is that we thought it was in San Sebastian when it isn’t but from the sounds of it we weren’t the only ones who thought that as Richard is that off it as he has accommodation in San Sebastian as well. Can’t stop laughing over the fact that he was on the bus and thought he had gone too far past his stop and the Spanish driver spoke no English. Can just imagine how shit that situation must have been. We are absolutely shattered at the moment from all the walking we’ve been doing. I’m ready for bed but there are so many young people here and it’s only 530pm so the sun won’t set for a solid 4 hours at least. Also can’t believe we have run into nick simpkin and jack dyce (boys I went to school with) at this camp place we are at, bloody bizarre
