I think I’ve figured out the main reason as to why everyone siestas in Europe. It’s because nobody covers their mouths when they cough or sneeze resulting in everyone to be sick. The link to siestas is the fact that during the middle of the day, everybody just goes home and has a sleep. I reckon the reason they siesta is so they can rest to get better. So far it’s the most logical reason I can think of as to why siestas are a common part of the daily routine. My second theory is that they are all lazy.

On a complete side note, since we’ve been here I’ve stepped on four pieces of old gum on the pavement which have stuck to my shoes. I also realised today that my beard has fifty shades of orange in it and it’s almost enough to ruin an experience
