How and why… With only a couple of weeks before jetting off, the decision was made to head to Central America to do some more exploring. Backpacking style. Only a small backpack (the same used for both South America trips).

The word ‘codger’ is used to describe an elderly man, especially one who is old-fashioned but also a bit eccentric. Given the current age vs the style of travel (backpacking), codger seems very appropriate compared to those of other backpacking friends met who will become only names in the diary.
